All information on one page. Sure this is good you have all in front of your eyes but we think this is unnecessary because customer is a bit overloaded with information provided on one page.

Advertising. Too much advertising on site, especially at the bottom of the site. It is not visible without scrolling but when looking at the bottom of the page it confuses.

Photos in new windows. When you click on the photo in bride photo album new photo will be opened in a new window. This is not comfortable at least for us.

I have been a member of many of the biggest marriage agency websites since they started in the late 90's. I have seen all the scammers come and go.
City of Brides pretends to be a legit website. But it is not. They spam you with profiles daily and when you reply there is never a response. When you email most of the women they usually don't respond. When they do respond it is always with a one or two word message. I have had great responses on other websites. This is the only one that I had a problem with. It is a total waste of money. If you want to meet REAL women for marriage then DO NOT get a membership for City-of-brides. I asked them twice to erase my profile and stop spamming me. They don't reply. It is like I am dealing with a machine. For all I know city-of-brides could be a handful of people sitting in some office in Ukraine just sending off these bogus 1 or 2 word messages all day. I have not found even 1 real woman here. WTF???

i have had the same problem as eorge, day after day you recieve 1 2 line e-mails and when you respond nothing, i have had over 85 in 2 months with no follow ups, in that time i have had 5 women try to scam me,and when i sent city of brides the e-mails nothing was done the women are still on the site,all in all dont waste your time and money

I really don't understand what you are saying friends! I became member on the site in 2007 and got several replyes from russian and ukrainian woman. I started e-mailing 3 and after a few months I desited to bet my money on one Ukrainian girl. I traveled to meet her after a months of e-mail correspondance and I meet with a wonderfull girl in summer of 2007. since then I have visited her 8 times, and this summer we plane for her to visit me in Denmark.
I will warm recoment this site.

This article is completely bogus. It's not a review at all; it's a promotional piece written by the agency itself, headquarted in Nikolaev, Ukraine. This is obvious from the uncritical content and Slavic grammar (if you know any Russian you'll see this immediately).

Tip: the Comment from "Ole" is 100% bogus too -- almost certainly planted by a Ukrainian who works for City of Brides. Tell-tale grammar again.

George's comment is correct: the girls themselves never even see your letters; the agency "handlers" read them and write the replies. Shocking dishonesty to Westerners, but business as usual in Ukraine. In fact, some of the younger and more beautiful girls get a cut of the agency's income from the correspondence generated by their photos and profiles.

At least 80% of the int'l dating business in Ukraine is pure scam. Don't take my word for it: take the word of my half-dozen Ukrainian friends -- all formerly employed in that business.

Maybe even worse than City of Brides is Anastasia Int'l & anastasiaweb. They are one crooked outfit.

I know all this from years of my own experience, and that of friends, spending hundreds of dollars (in some cases, more) with these agencies. I've also been to Russia and Ukraine a dozen times.

The only honest agency I've found is bluesapphires.net Make sure to keep in ".net" If you type ".com" you'll be automatically redirected to A Foreign Affair's web site. Yes, they are THAT clever and that slimy.

Rule of thumb: If it looks too good to be true, then it is. Believe me, unless you're young, handsome, and very wealthy, the girls you see on City of Brides have absolutely no real-life interest in you. And 98% of them will never even know you wrote. The whole thing is a deviously-constructed device to make money -- something very hard to do in Ukraine these days.

I paid a 3 months subscription to City of Brides. During these 3 months I received 300 messages from 300 girls, but after replied, they did not write me anymore.
Only with 5 girls the communications are extended also by e mail, but after 1 month they asked a lot of money to pay the costs of the translation of the letters (they told that as they did not understand english, they went to a translation institute to communicate with me) and the costs of the various expenses to come in Italy.
When I told them that I had not this money, they have not written me anymore.
After the expiration of my subscription, I have not renewed it.
From that day, I received a lot of messages from young and beautiful girls.
This is the system to convince me to renewe my subscription, but I understood their system how works and I have not renewed the subscription.

I signed up and saw some cuties. I send them emails and they responded with pasted word document reponses..you know the commas and exclamations alway come out with another symbol. Anyways, right off the bat, they send a lette with totally different info that what they posted on their profile even their damn age! I called them on it and they never write back. I emailed the fuckers in charge and never heard back. It's a big scam to take your money. If you are reading this and considering joining...dont't waste your money!

like many others, I had the unfortunate experience of utilizing several "Massive Catalog of Ladies" agencies that proliferate the Web. The experience was an extensive investment and left me wanting and skeptical of using any agency, Ukrainian or otherwise.

Searching the Web, despite my previous experience, I came across the Mordinson Agency Website. What interested me was that it is a family run business and had a business philosophy of representing but several hundred Ladies specifically from the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. The Website described their business practice of personally interviewing and selecting each Lady for their Website and that not every applicant is accepted.
